The Westside Roots & Sustainability Initiative is a program of the Westside Leadership Institute designed to support nonprofit and community-based organizations serving Salt Lake City's west-side communities and West Valley City.
Many community organizations are doing important work but need additional support to strengthen their operations, secure funding, plan for growth, or build stronger internal systems.
Westside Roots & Sustainability connects selected organizations with individualized technical assistance, professional guidance, and capacity-building resources based on their unique needs.
How We Can Help
Depending on your organization's needs, support may include:
Grant writing and fundraising
Financial management
Strategic planning
Organizational development
Impact measurement and reporting
Board development
Financial and audit preparation support
Mentorship and professional consulting
Who Is This For?
This initiative is designed for nonprofits, fiscally sponsored groups, and emerging community organizations that serve west-side residents and want to strengthen their organization.
You may be a good fit if your organization:
Serves residents of Salt Lake City's west side and/or West Valley City
Wants to strengthen its internal systems or operations
Needs help with funding, financial management, planning, or organizational growth
Is committed to learning and actively participating in the program
You Don't Have to Have Everything Figured Out
Your organization does not need to be large or have every system already in place.
This initiative is designed to help organizations identify where they need support and connect them with resources and expertise that can help them become stronger and more sustainable.
